Belfast In Belfast where I live there are docks Where the mighty ‘Titanic’ was made. Thousands of people were on the ship when it sank.
In Belfast where I live there’s a statue with a ring, The spirit of Belfast, which is freedom.
In Belfast where I live there’s W5, It’s called that because there are 5 Ws, WHO, WHERE, WHEN, WHAT, WHY.
In Belfast where I live there’s the City Hall. I went there once to receive a prize.
Christopher Doyle, Stranmillis Primary School.
Belfast.
Tick, tock goes The Albert Clock, Clash, bang go the men in the docks, Busy, busy in St. Georges Market, Dizzy, dizzy at the top of Cavehill, Silence, silence in the Linen Hall Library, Talk, talk in the City hall.
Rosa Gourley, Stranmillis Primary School Belfast When It’s Silent. When It’s silent the clock ticks slowly, When it’s silent I close my eyes, Cars vroom past, When it’s silent I see a large purple fish, Swimming round in a bowl, When it’s silent I hear laughter. Golden silence gives me new ideas. Silence.
Sophie Stewart, Stranmillis Primary School. Clouds.
Clouds can be big, Clouds can be small, Clouds can be clear Or nearly not there at all, Clouds can be high up, Or nearly touching the ground, Clouds can be faint, Clouds can be bright, Clouds can be in the day Or in the night, And each is different, Like you and me.
Rosa Gourley, Stranmillis Primary School.
There’s a lady with a ring And she stands on top of the world. There’s a fun place called W5, I went there for my birthday. The Albert Clock waves his hands with a tick tock, A fish mosaic, it’s blue and green, The biggest fish I’ve ever seen, A City hall, which is big and tall, They’re all in Belfast where I live.
