Grove Primary School

In Belfast

In Belfast where I live
We have a City Hall.
As you go in there are huge stairs.
Outside are trees, and a statue of Queen Victoria.
In Belfast where I live
We have Windsor Park.
David Healy scored a goal and we beat England.
Mrs. Healy was there, singing and shouting
And jumping up and down.
In Belfast where I live
We have a zoo below Cavehill.
I went there at Easter
To see the meercats.
The meercats were inquisitive.

Claire Lamont, Grove Primary School, Belfast.

Around Northern Ireland

Around Northern Ireland where I live
There are beaches and cliffs.
There are towns and cities,
There are castles and churches
And old round towers
Where people ran away to hide.

Mark Currie, Grove Primary School, Belfast.

In Northern Ireland

In Northern Ireland where I live
There are farms and fields and hills.
In the fields are cows and sheep and horses.
The hills are lumpy and bumpy like camels backs.
Around Northern Ireland where I live
On blue days the sea is swaying,
On green days the sea is rough.

Amy-Leigh Johnston, Grove Primary school, Belfast.
